Here is a product that really excels in its design. This effective group head brush makes it easy to clean your machine, keeps your hands safe from burns from hot water, and incorporates a wealth of features that are not obvious at first glance.

The bristles are fitted as a removable cartridge that come in one of three different types; hard bristles (standard) for every day cleaning on most espresso machines, soft bristles for delicate parts (such as softer gaskets or more delicate group heads), and a brass wire brush cartridge for use as a last resort to remove the most stubborn baked-on coffee residues. The brush is supplied with three hard bristle cartridges - the soft bristle cartridge and the brass wire brush cartridge are available as separate accessories as are additional hard bristle cartridges.

The handle is longer than most group head brushes and this provides a good grip while keeping your hand well away from the hot water you run through the group head. A series of vertical "vanes" positioned near the brush end ensure that any water that tries to run back up the handle drips off well before reaching your hand.

A small measuring scoop is built into the end of the handle, and one heaped scoop of cleaning powder will provide approximately 3 grams, exactly the right amount of cleaning powder to clean one group head - no more hunting around for a teaspoon to get the right dose! A small metal spike is mounted at the brush end for cleaning blocked holes in the nozzle on your milk frothing wand.
