This hard rubber tamping mat is purpose made for resting your filter handle on while tamping your ground coffee in the filter basket. The mat is firm enough to protect the surface underneath while being soft enough to prevent any damage to the spouts on the bottom of your filter handle.

These mats are also ideal for banging your milk jug onto when you need to break the larger bubbles on your frothed milk.
