Chai is the word commonly used in Southern Asia for tea. Tea leaves are gently brewed with milk and water to produce a very refreshing mild drink. Spices are sometimes added to give more zest to the drink and this also has the added advantage of making the drink very soothing and a great help for digestive ailments such as heartburn and dyspepsia.
Sweetbird Chai Syrup contains black tea extracts, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. It is superb when added to warm milk and also makes a very interesting addition to a cappuccino or latte.
