This is a Bourbon coffee from the Sul de Minas region grown by the well respected Ottoni/Carvalho Dias family who also own the Fazenda Cachoeira. They are the only Brazilian producers to have had prizes in the "Cup of Excellence" contest in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
The bourbon is a yellow bean (rather than red) and is grown at a high altitude of approximately 840 to 1080 meters. This variety is susceptible to damage and therefore produces a relatively low yield but great quality. The coffee is sweet with less acidity.
All our roasted coffees are professionally roasted using a commercial Probat drum roaster and are packed in foil valve bags to preserve their freshness.
