This lovely stove-top coffee maker brings a new style to the traditional hexagonal Italian moka pot. With its attractive porcelain jug and polished stainless steel base it is ideal for both preparing and serving your coffee. Since it has a magnetic base it is suitable for induction hobs. Induction hobs heat by using a magnetic field so when the pot is placed on the hob, the magnetic field interacts with the material of the pot to heat up the pot directly.
Simply fill the base with water up to the level of the safety valve, insert the filter basket and fill with ground coffee. Screw the porcelain jug tightly onto the metal base and place on a low heat. When the water boils it is forced up through the ground coffee and fills the jug with your brewed coffee. Remove from the heat source taking care as there is a possibility of the handle being hot. Your coffee is then ready to serve straightaway.
It is important to fill the filter basket with the correct amount of coffee to produce the best results - hence the two different sizes, one for 3 cups and one for 6 cups (one cup is approximately one espresso cup full, or about 60ml).
