Part of Krups's updated "Expert" range, the Krups FMD3 is an elegant filter coffee maker with brushed stainless steel panelling on the top and front (rarely found on a filter machine in this price range). It has a integral water reservoir that can be fitted with an optional Duo filter (kit sold separately - see related products below) to reduce the chlorine and limescale in the water, and a water level indicator on the front of the machine so you can easily see how much water is left. The filter holder has assisted opening so it will swing open as soon a you press on a small lever. It also features an anti-drip system that allows you to remove the coffee pot at any time, even during the brewing process, without the risk of coffee continuing to drip. A hot plate under the coffee pot keeps the coffee warm after it has been brewed and has a non-stick coating for easy cleaning. A flavour selector switch enhances the extraction and ensures optimum coffee flavour when brewing small quantities.
The glass coffee jug on the FMD3 has a scale on one side and a hinged plastic lid. It is microwave and dishwasher safe. One clever feature of this machine is that the filter holder simply lifts out so emptying and cleaning could not be more simple!
A new design of heating element ensures you have a jug of hot coffee (at least 80 degrees centigrade) at the end of the brewing process.
